Join us on Sunday, April 10th at 10AM to meet and learn from author Gae Polisner. She will read an excerpt from her new book, Consider the Octopus. She will then lead young readers in a creative writing activity about the oceans and environment. Afterwards, attendees will be able to meet Gae, and get their books signed. All attendees will receive a bookmark, Roundhouse octopus sticker, and be entered in a raffle for some Roundhouse swag! Consider the Octopus is a comedy of errors, mistaken identity, and synchronicity. Above all, it is a heartfelt story about friendship and an empowering call to environmental protection, especially to our young people who are already stepping up to help save our oceans and our Earth. It’s a story for all ages, but this event is tailored to ages 8-14. We want as many people as possible to enjoy this event, but due to limited space, parents may be asked to wait outside in the shade. Ticket Options: Your registration supports ocean and science education for students and visitors at the Roundhouse Aquarium and throughout the community. Event + Hardcover of Consider the Octopus – $35.00 This ticket includes the private event, including the writer workshop, and a copy of the book (a $18.60 value) which Gae Polisner will sign for you after the event.
